Krasnodar is hosting the 8th Russian Media Festival “The Pulse of Five Millions” on May 25-26, coinciding with the Journalism Day, the 75th anniversary of the Krasnodar Territory and the 220th anniversary of settlement of Kuban by Russian Cossacks, Yuga.ru reports.
The first day includes a science conference on media in the national and global information space at the Krasnodar Philharmonic of G.F. Ponomarenko. Journalists and scientists from Moscow, North Ossetia and Abkhazia will arrive.
Some of the highlights of the festival are Editor-in-Chief of Russia Today Margarita Simonyan, Editor-in-Chief of Argumenty i Fakti Nikolai Zyatkov, President of Redaktsiya Novoy Gazety Izvestia Vladimir Mamontov, Dean of the Subdepartment for Journalism of the Moscow State University of M.V. Lomonosov Yelena Vartanova, Director General of Izvestia Erast Galumov, professor of the North Ossetian State University Boris Koybayev, professor of the Abkhaz State University Yekaterina Bebia, officials from the Rostov Region, Stavropol Territory, Adygeya.
The framework of the conference includes plenary sessions, discussions and round tables.
