Online rumors that the Pepsi logo would appear on the face of the Moon saw thousands of Iranians go out to stare up at the sky, RBC reports.
Many doubted the technical abilities of making such advertisement. Some pointed the immoral aspect of the idea, because the Moon has is a romantic symbol for many nations.
This is not the first prank played on Iran. In 1978, right before the Islamic Revolution, there was a promise that the Moon will have a projection of ayatollah. Many insisted that they did see the image.
