The police have initiated a criminal case over the car accident of children’s judo team in the Krasnodar Territory, RIA Novosti reports.
The accident happened at the 168th km of the Kavkaz Federal Highway at 3.20 am on June 12. The children of judo school N1 of Oktyabrskoye Village were born in 1999 and 2000. They were returning home to Vladikavkaz from competitions in Armavir.
The driver of the vehicle they crashed into died. 10 children, their coach and driver were hospitalized. Three children and their coach are still being treated.
The police say that the driver was responsible for the accident, because he was supposed to let the minibus through.
