Azerbaijan approves G20 statement on Nagorno-Karabakh

Spokesman of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Elman Abdullayev said that Baku agrees with the statement by Presidents of Russia Vladimir Putin, USA Barack Obama and France Francois Hollande urging settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Trend reports.

Azerbaijan approved a meeting of Azerbaijani and Armenian communities of Nagorno-Karabakh, but Armenia skipped the meeting. Armenia needs to leave the occupied territories in order to resolve the conflict.

The three presidents urged settlement of the conflict according to the Helsinki final act. The document stresses on peaceful settlement of conflict, territorial unity and the right of peoples for self-determination. The presidents support the statements made in Acqueville in 2009 and Muskoka in 2010.
