The Azerbaijani Ministry for National Security has arrested 9 drug smugglers transporting narcotics from Iran. Over 25 kg of narcotics have been confiscated, 1news.az reports.
Arif Babayev of the PR center of the ministry said that Ruslan Arif ogly Orujev (Azerbaijan) was caught. An Iranian is being searched for. Orujev went to Germi in May 2012 and ordered Rasul (Iranian) to bring 2 kg of opium for $3,000. Rasul was hiding drugs in the Jalilabad District. Orujev took the drugs and was caught with 1.75 kg on his way to Baku.
Javid Alimamed ogly Kyazimov and Shakhbaz Avezag ogly Gamidov (Azerbaijan) were smuggling drugs from the same district with the help of Abuzar Rasul. They were caught on their way to Lyankaran with 14.852 kg of drugs.
Babek and Kyanan Abbaskhan ogly Isayevs and Aris Ajar ogly Safarov (Azerbaijan) were cooperating with Magerram to smuggle drugs from the village of Arvan in the Yardymlinsky District of Azerbaijan. They were caught in the Salyansky District and Yardymlinsky District of Azerbaijan in Shirvan on their way to Baku. They had over 7 kg of opium.
Fikret Rasul ogly Guliyev was caught in Baku with large quantities of heroin.
Irmak Magomed ogly Aliyev and Fizza Magerram gyzy Aleskerova were caught with heroin. They were cooperating with Fuad to transport drugs from Iran to Azerbaijan.
