At the initiative of the Congress of Azeris of Georgia (CAG) the Georgia Is Our Homeland Forum of Azeri Youth will be established.
"The Forum of Azeri Youth of Georgia is established to unite and support their integration into Georgian society," CAG chairman Ali Baba said, Trend News reported.
The founding congress of the Forum of Azeri Youth of Georgia will be held on Wednesday at the Cinema House in Tbilisi, he said. "The congress will be attended by representatives of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Georgia, Azerbaijan's State Committee for Work with the Diaspora, the Georgian Reintegration Ministry, and public figures of Azerbaijan and Georgia," the chairman of CAG said.
The Congress of Azeris of Georgia was established on March 17, 2008, in Tbilisi by about 20 Azerbaijani NGOs. The purpose of the congress is the promoting the integration of Azeris into Georgian society and exploring ways to solve their problems. According to unofficial data, there are approximately 500,000 Azeris now living in Georgia, mostly in Kvemo-Kartli (Borchaly).
