Chechens, Ingush and Avar are youngest nations in Russia

According to a report written on the completion of the national census
held in 2010, the youngest nations in Russia are the Chechens, RG
reports. The percentage of Chechen population under 16 is 34.3%, of
the Ingush - 30.9% and of the Avars - 28.2%.

However, as the article notes, even in those areas, the average
size of a family fell to two or three children from four or
five previously.
