A memorial dedicated to Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev was
built in Ankara. Majlis speaker Ural Muhamedjanov and chairman of the
Turkish National Assembly Mehmet Ali Shahin were at the opening
ceremony, KazTAG reports.
The 2.6 m sculpture is made of bronze standing on a 2.5 m pedestal.
Its author is Giursel Chataltepe. The monument was built on the
initiative of Turkish President Abdulla Gul in gratitude to Nazarbayev
for his contribution to Turkish peace.
