17-year old Ana Lominadze from Georgia plans to swim through the Dardanelles in Turkey with her hands and legs tied on August 30, Georgia Online reports.
This is how she wants to mark the 10 anniversary of the same swim made by her teacher Professor Genry Kuprashvili. Opera singer Lado Ataneli and his wife (Georgia) donated €1000 for Lominadze. She will be the first Georgian female to swim through the Dardanelles using the Colchian style, the style Georgian sailors use.
