A special operation in Dagestan has resulted in the arrest of 5 counterfeiters, Yuga.ru reports.
Over 200 officers were mobilized for the operation. They were after the counterfeiters since mid-2011, when police officers of the Krasnodar Terrutory caught distributers of false cash.
The counterfeiters in Dagestan had over 3 million rubles of cash and three pistols. Searches through 18 addresses resulted in over 700,000 counterfeit rubles confiscated. In addition, the police found weapons and hand grenades, printing equipment, literature on printing and literature of extreme content.
The counterfeiters used computers for production of banknotes with a nominal of 1,000 and 5,000 rubles.
