Police in south Russia have found the body of 10-year old Anya Prokopenko, who went missing on Monday, RIA Novosti reports.
Over 700 people, including police officers, soldiers, Cossacks, volunteers and media staff, were searching for her. Her photos were sent to all districts of the North Caucasus region and Moscow.
A criminal case was initiated on murder of a child under supervision of prosecutor Yuri Turygin of the Stavropol Territory.
The girl’s body was found 300 meters away from the house in a forest. Her body was covered in branches.
