A man suspected of raping and murdering nine-year-old Anna Prokopenko in Pyatigorsk has been arrested, the official representative of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Vladimir Markin, told journalists, RIA Novosti reports.
On July 25 on Mount Mashuk in Pyatigorsk the raped and strangled body of Anna Prokopenko was found. The Investigative Committee initiated a criminal case into “murder of a child,” “rape,” and “sexual assault.” Vladimir Ambartsuyev, the suspect, has already confessed.
