The work of the fifth All-Armenian educational conference started
today in Yerevan, News-Armenia reports. It will bring together about
150 representatives from 25 countries. The participants in the
conference will discuss efforts aimed at implementing the provisions
of a resolution adopted at the Fourth Conference in 2010, as well as
software and methodological issues. They will also exchange
experiences and participate in activities dedicated to the 100th
anniversary of the Armenian genocide. The conference will last until
August 14.
The President noted that Armenia attaches great importance to
conferences of that kind, as well as other effective formats of
cooperation with educational institutions of the Armenian Diaspora.
The All-Armenian educational conference has been held every two years
since 2004. Its purpose is to discuss the problems of Armenian
educational institutions abroad, develop programs aimed at promoting
cooperation and strengthen ties between Armenia and the Diaspora in the
field of education.
