8 bodies were found at the Ile-Alatau National Park in Kazakhstan, Interior Minister Kalmukhanbet Kasymov said in Astana on Tuesday, Vzglyad reports.

The bodies were found with stab wounds. None of their belongings were stolen. The police believe that a conflict caused the mass murder.

Helicopters were mobilized for the searches.

Kobeykhan Nurakhmet, head of the press service of the department of interior affairs of the Alma Ata Region, said that two bodies were found 30 km away from the Tau Samal Village at a forester’s house. Three more bodies were found two kilometers away. Two more burnt bodies were found 25 km away.

14 border guards and a forester were found dead at the Arkankergen border post in late May. 19-year old soldier Vladislav Chelakh said that he killed them. He denied testifying on July 26.
