The Krasnodar Territory will modernize its warning systems in 3 years. Governor of the region Alexander Tkachyov discussed the issue at the security council today, the governor’s website reports.
The Russian Investigative Committee criticized the emergency system of Krymsk, an area suffering from a major flood on July 7.
A new warning system with 1,500 sirens will be formed before November 1. Signals will be heard at a range of 5 km. Dozens of hydrological posts will be established to monitor water levels.
