14,000 families suffering from the flood of July in Kakheti have received compensations, Trend reports.
Georgian Finances Minister Alexander Khetaguri, personal presidential representative in Kakheti Levan Bejashvili and Governor of the region Georgy Gviniashvili have informed the president about the payments. Bejashvili said that they will pay all the compensations in a few days.
18,000 people suffering from the flood belong to the first category. They will receive about $606-$909. Most houses have had their roofs repaired. 200 more will undergo reconstruction.
