The authorities of Karachay-Cherkessia intend to put into operation
seven kindergartens with places for 880 children before 2013, RIA
Novosti reports, referring to the press service of the head of the
republic.
The head of Karachay-Cherkessia, Rashid Temrezova, told Deputy Prime
Minister of Russia Olga Golodets that the authorities are not only
constructing and reconstructing kindergarten buildings but are also
using empty school facilities for opening additional pre-school
groups.
Due to the shortage of kindergartens and constant population growth of
Karachay-Cherkessia, the head of the republic addressed Deputy Prime
Minister Golodets with a request to support the region
in dealing with the problem of the lack of pre-schools. The republic
is hoping to receive federal funds for the construction of three
kindergartens with a capacity of 650 places.
