The Novomikhaylovsk Village near Tuapse is suffering from a flood, RIA Novosti reports.
River Nechepsukho went off the banks and submerged about 1,500 people, 600 houses, a hospital and a school.
Governor of the Krasnodar Territory Alexander Tkachyov said that villagers and tourists were informed about the emergency. Many evacuated their cars. 10 tons of bottled water were prepared for the population of the Tuapsinsky District.
Food was supplied for 300 people facing the flood at the Orlenok children’s camp.
The region was hit by another flood in early July. Thousands of houses in Gelendzhik, Krymsk and Novorossiysk were submerged. 168 people died and two went missing in Krymsk.
