Unidentified gunmen shot Police Captain Rasul Kachmasov, born in 1977, at his house in Babayurt on Wednesday, RIA Novosti reports.
The police found 30 5.45mm shells, one 5.45mm bullet, 27 9mm shells and 7 9mm bullets.
Three more police officers were wounded and one died in an attack on a roadblock near the Mokok Village at the Tsuntinsky District of Dagestan at 9 pm.
