Russia commemorates victims of terrorist acts

The Day of Solidarity in the fight against terrorism is held today in
Russia. Ceremonies in memory of the victims of terrorist acts are
taking place today across Russia. The commemoration day appeared in
the calendars after the tragic events in Beslan.

Most North Ossetian schools started their first day of school with
ceremonies. Participants of ceremonies laid flowers and lit up
candles. A special ceremony took place at the school in Beslan which was
attacked by terrorists in September 2004.

Today Dagestan held a youth action "We need a peaceful Dagestan". A
minute of silence was carried out in each school.
A ceremony dedicated to the memorable date was also called today in
Moscow, at the Cathedral of Our Lady in Kulishki.

Commemorative events were also held on Monday in other areas of
Moscow. Thus, a commemoration ceremony took place near the Dubrovka
Theater, at the metro stations "Park Kultury", "Lubyanka" and
"Avtozavodskaya," on the site of an explosion at the airport
"Tushino", near the hotel "National", near the metro station
"Rizhskaya", on the site of the exploded house on Kashirskaya and Guryanov
Streets, in the underground passage at Pushkin Square and at
"Domodedovo" airport.
