Dukvakha Dushuyev (Doshuyev), a bodyguard of former emissary of Chechen separatists Ahmed Zakayev, was among the 11 militants killed at the Russian border in Georgia last week, Kommersant reports.
He was a witness in London in 2003.
7 out of the 11 militants were identified. Two of them were Aslan Margoshvili and Bakhaudin Kavtarashvili, both Georgian citizens. One of them was Bakhaudin Bagakashvili born in Grozny on February 10, 1986, living in Pankisi Gorge. The other militants were Dukuvakha Doshuyev, Salam Zaurbekov, Musa Aduyev and Jabrail Khashiyev from Chechnya and Ingushetia.
44-year old Dushuyev took part in the first Chechen campaign. Dushuyev went abroad when his commanded was detained in the early 2000s.
The group of militants entered Georgia from Dagestan. Five hostages were taken from the Lapankuri Village. They were released in exchange for a Georgian officer. 3 law enforcers died in the shootout with militants.
