The Russian Orthodox Church will always render all possible assistance to the people of South Ossetia, the Patriarch of all-Russia, Kirill, said at a meeting with members of the National charity fund's Guardian council, the news agency OCinform reports.
The patriarch also noted that the republic has a lack of medical personnel and doctors. In order to ease the difficult situation, the Russian Church will send sisters of mercy and training specialists. He added that the Church's assistance can be effective only in partnership with the state authorities.
