A sports complex will open in Chechnya’s Shali in early October, RIA Novosti reports.
Chechen Deputy Minister for Construction Sultan Azimov said that construction had reached the final stage. The sports center will allow games of basketball, volleyball, badminton, mini football and other types of sports. The center will also have a football stadium nearby with 1000 seats for spectators. A warming system will allow games all round.
Stadium construction was financed according to the federal purpose program for sports development for 2006-2015. Subsidies of the federal budget totaled about 215 million rubles.
