Women's Day is marked in Chechnya on September 16th, the Grozny Inform agency reports
The holiday was introduced in 2009 in order to commemorate 49 women who died during the Caucasian War.
The head of the republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, congratulated all Chechen women on the holiday.
