Russian Parliament to discuss insulting of religious feelings

The State Duma plans to adopt a statement in favor of protecting religious feelings of the faithful in all confessions.

The decision on including this issue to the agenda was made at the session of the Duma Council on Monday, the head of the State Duma committee on social unities and religious organizations, Yaroslav Nilov, told Interfax.

The State Duma speaker Sergey Naryshkin supported the initiative.

“Today cases of insulting of religious feelings of our citizens become frequent,” Naryshkin told journalists on Monday.
