Earthquake hits Eastern Azerbaijan

 

An earthquake has hit Vargezan in the Eastern Azerbaijan Province of Iran, Trend reports.

The earthquake had a magnitude of 4.5 points on Richter scale at 4.26 am.

The Eastern Azerbaijan Province suffered from an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 points on August 11. 300 people died, 2500 were injured. 110 out of 538 villages were fully or partly destroyed. About 5000 buildings were damaged.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 4 points hit Varzegan on September 22.
