Russia’s Public Television to be launched in May 2013

 

Head of the Public Television of Russia Anatoly Lysenko said that it will be launched in May 2013, PRIME reports.

He noted that 1.5 billion rubles of financing they get is insufficient and there are no advertisements to generate revenues.

Commenting on the watchers of the channel, Lysenko said that it will be the politically active part of the population.

The Public Television of Russia was registered as a non-commercial organization at the Justice Ministry. The Zvezda Channel will continue broadcasting and will provide 1.5 billion rubles of financing for the new channel.
