Dagestani Leader Magomedsalam Magomedov will visit Derbent to see damage caused by the recent flood personally. 7 people have died and 320 houses were submerged, ITAR-TASS reports.
Locals started reporting about the flood at 0.30 am on Wednesday. 1120 people, including 280 children were affected by the flood. Water has been pumped out of house basements. Clearing of roads continues. No damage to roads or houses has been caused by the flood.
551 people and 84 vehicles were mobilized on October 10 to help the city. Two planes of the Russian Ministry for Emergencies left the Ramenskoye Airport to Dagestan to help the locals at 8 am.
Streets will be cleared today. Power has been fully restored. The police have prevented crime outbreaks.
