Russian President Dmitry Medvedev congratulated Ingush President Yunus-bek Yevkurov and Ingush Republican people on 240 years as part of Russia, reports Yuga.ru quoting the press service of Ingush President.
This event determined the further fortune of Ingush, contributed to its political, economical and cultural development. Many generations of Ingushes took active part in consolidation of Russian state, in protection of its independence and sovereignty. Today Republic plays an important role in struggle against international terrorism, in safeguarding of security on South boundaries of Russia” says Head of State in his speech.
Also D. Medvedev expressed confidence that purposefulness and diligence of Ingush people and of Republican President will favour the stabilization of situation in the region and to improvement of people’s life.
As it was earlier by “Vestnik Kavkaza” today in honor of 240 years of joining of Ingushetia to Russia in Republic are hold several ceremonial events.
