The leader of the winning coalition in the parliamentary elections,
"Georgian Dream", and candidate for the post of Prime Minister Bidzina
Ivanishvili plans to close all casinos, gaming clubs and brothels
located in the resort town of Batumi on the Black Sea coast in Adjara,
News-Georgia reports.
In an interview to the Turkish news outlet Sabah, Ivanishvili said that
these institutions do not bring any particular profit to the state and
only "damage the reputation of the country."
Batumi has four casinos, 30 gaming clubs and more than 10 brothels,
which are officially banned in Georgia.
