Azerbaijani media report that an internnational symposium devoted to the Holocaust and Azerbaijan's participation in WW2 has been organized by the European Azerbaijan Society (TEAS) and Yahad-In Unum (YIU) in Baku.
The chairman of the European Azerbaijan Society, Tale Heydarov, addressed the assembly and said that Holocaust studies and the studying the WW2 are very important to the present-day Caucasus.
The director of the Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies in the US, Paul Shapiro, spoke about the center’s activity and said that about 3 million people visit the center every year:
