Governor of the Stavropol Territory Valery Zerenkov ordered executives to develop common clothes standards for schools of the region. He said that schools should remain secular and without demonstration of religious traditions.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday that religious feelings should be respected. He emphasized that Russia was a secular state. Putin recommended regions to develop a school uniform that does not necessarily need to be standard for the whole country.
