Today the local authorities cancelled the emergency situation regime in Derbent, which was launched due to the flooding on October 10. “Clearing the streets of rubble has ended; the rescue services have finished their work in the city; the emergency situation regime is cancelled,” the source in the local administration reported.
However, representatives of volunteer organizations state that it is far before the end of the work. They will continue their work even after the cancellation of the emergency situation regime. On October 10th water flooded about 320 houses in Derbent due to heavy rains. 7 people died; more than 1 thousand people, including 280 children, were in the flood zone.
