Moscow police chief fired over murder

 

Three police officers and an unemployed man were detained for murder of a 22-year old, possibly an Azerbaijani, on September 5-6 by stabbing him 80 times, spokesman of the Russian Investigative Committee Vladimir Markin said.

The killed man was found at the Zaransky Village of the Moscow Region on September 11. He was killed for a BMW-530 the assailants wanted to sell.

The three suspects served at the Khoroshovo-Mnevniki police station. They kidnapped their victims for ransom.

Deputy Chief of the Interior Directorate of the North-Western District of Moscow responsible for public order and some other police officers will be punished. Officers in charge of the assailants were fired.
