Poti Port of Georgia on strike again

Poti Port of Georgia on strike again

300 workers at the Poti Port of Georgia started a strike at the port’s entrance, demanding higher wages and labour conditions, Georgia Online reports.

The administration admitted that the demands were fair and promised to fulfill them before November 1. No concessions have been made in practice.

A two-hour strike was organized on October 25. The administration was warned about further actions.

An average wage at the port is about $60-120 per month.
