8 passenger buses were stopped for having reclined seats in Makhachkala last night, RIA Novosti reports.
About 100 passengers were blocked by the police on the Astrakhan-Makhachkala road for about an hour. Bus drivers were taken to police stations, passengers will get refunds.
The police have been forbidding reclined seats since October 17, when a bus from Dagestan and a car collided in Stavropol. 5 people died and 38 were hospitalized. All buses on the Makhachkala-Moscow route underwent checking. Reclined seats were ordered to be removed.
