Chechen deputies ask to return labor education in secondary schools

The Russian State Duma passed a bill on education in the Russian Federation in the first reading today. The Chechen deputies introduced a number of proposals including return of labor education in schools.

The Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Social Policy Betrahmadov Ruslan specified that the proposal concerns the so-called Training industrial and educational workshops. He noted that the Committee on Social Policy of the Chechen Parliament appealed to the Ministry of Finance of the Chechen Republic with a proposal to allocate additional funds to local educational institutions with the purpose of equipping natural science laboratories at schools.
