As a result of a bus accident that occurred in Armenia’s Shirak Region, 22 people (including a ten-year-old child) have been transferred to the region’s several medical facilities.
Shirak Regional Health Department Chief Hovhannes Hovhannisyan told News.am that the injured are in average critical condition at present. “Now, they are being examined,” he said, adding that, according to preliminary data, a child had also been hospitalized. According to preliminary data, the bus driver is a citizen of Georgia.
The bus, which was en route to Istanbul from Yerevan, went off road and tipped over on the Gyumri-Bavra highway, near the village of Ghazanchi, on Saturday at around 2:10pm. One person died and ten others sustained injuries as a result.
