Today the first passenger aircraft will fly between Astrakhan and
Istanbul, the press service of Astrakhan airport said.
"The flight will be operated by Bars Aero. The flights will operate twice a
week (Mondays and Wednesday). The duration of the flight is 2 hours
40 minutes," RIA Novosti cites the press service.
The airline expects that the flights will be popular because of
three factors: tourism to Istanbul and Turkey, shopping tours and
transit flights to Europe via Istanbul.
The flight will use CRJ-200 aircraft, the departure time from
Astrakhan is 21:00.
