Chechen police officer suspected of bribing

 

A criminal case has been initiated against a police officer suspected of trying to give a bribe to an officer in the Stavropol Territory.

The Russian Investigative Committee in the Stavropol Territory said that the Chechen officer was stopped on the Georgiyevsk-Novopavlovsk Highway in the Kirovsky District of the Stavropol Territory on October 27. The officer had an unregistered Makarov pistol and 16 rounds for it.

The Chechen officer tried to bribe officers in the Stavropol Territory with 10,000 rubles to keep silent about illegal carriage and trafficking of the weapon and ammo.
