Stavropol Territory has launched a campaign called "Stop Divorce", organized by the
Civil Registry Office in the region. The event aims at raising the
status of the family, mothers, fathers and children in the province.
"There are two people who fall in love, get married. A family is born.
But over time, something happens to human memory: good things are
forgotten and only pain and troubles are remembered. The promises and
vows to each other are forgotten. And people start to think of divorce.
This is especially the case with young families. We want to keep
couples from making rash decisions," the head of the Civil
Registry Office of Stavropol, Sergei Nazarenko, told RIA Novosti.
During the campaign, they tell newlyweds about the importance
of preserving marriage, and those who come to apply for a divorce
are warned of its negative consequences, a special "hot line" is
opened.
20 "Young Family" clubs were created, where newlyweds are taught how
to maintain a good relationship in the family for life, there they can
get psychological, medical and legal assistance.
