Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) and the Azerbaijani State Marine Academy (ASMA) signed a cooperation agreement in the field of training and education of marine specialists in Baku, Trend reports.
The agreement was signed by First Deputy Gennady of the RS Genady Kolesnikov and ASMA Rector Rasim Bashirov.
Kolesnikov noted that next year will be marked by the 100th anniversary of register, out of which 90 years it has been present in Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan is constantly expanding its navy. The country is implementing large projects such as the construction of a new port and a shipyard, which requires skilled workers.
