Vesti KBR host Kazbek Gekkiyev’s crew received threats from Kazbek Tashuyev, head of the Baksankaya Gang, in February, Kommersant reports.
Two journalists were threatened to be murdered for smiling during reports about progress of law enforcers in fighting terrorists. The journalists quit their jobs, but one of them returned back after elimination of Tashuyev in September.
Threats were also expressed on an extremist website in October.
