Chairman of the Moskomstroyinvest Constantine Timofeyev has denied grants of land for mosque construction in Moscow, Interfax reports.
Izvestia reported that mosques were planned to be built at Lyublino (south-eastern administrative district of Moscow), Butovo (south-western) and near the Shosse Entuziastov Subway Station (eastern).
The Moscow Mayor’s Office reminded that a special group had been formed to study the need for building religious centers in the city. No plans to build mosques have been made by the group.
