The number of Muslims has increased from 3% to 7% in Russia in the last three years. 74% of Russians are still Orthodox Christians, as stated by the Levada Center for Analysis, Interfax reports.
The number of Orthodox Christians in Russia has dropped by 6% since 2009. Only 1% of the population are Catholics, Protestants and Judaists.
10% of Russians do not associate themselves with religion, compared with 8% in 2009. The number of atheists dropped by 1%.
1600 were questioned by the center in 130 cities of 45 regions.
