The lights on the main Christmas tree of Georgia will be switched on
on Rustaveli Avenue, in front of the former parliament building on the evening
of December 25. The press-service of the City Hall of the Georgian
capital reported that the Christmas tree will be the same 25-foot
Christmas tree that has adorned the city in the past.
From December 25 to January 14 Santa Claus and Tovlis Babu
(Georgian Santa Claus) will entertain children in the Mtazminda part.
In addition, there will be concerts and shows.
On December 25 the New Year's Festival with the participation of the
Tbilisi Big Band will commence.
Other events are also planned for the holidays.
