Alma-Atinskaya Subway Station opens in Moscow

 

The Moscow Subway has opened the 187th station called Alma-Atinskaya at the Brateyevo District on the Zamoskvorechnaya Line.

The new station has exits to the Brateyevskaya and klyuchevaya Streets. The station was built with granite and marble stone. The station was named after the divisions formed in Kazakhstan to protect Moscow during the Great Patriotic War. They include the Division of Panfilov.

According to an agreement with Kazakhstan, a station in Alma-Ata will be named Moscow. Its construction started in October 2012 and will be completed in 2013.
