Nalchik has held the funeral of Boris Zherukov, head of the Kabardino-Balkaria Agrarian University and head of the United Russia fraction of the local parliament, RIA Novosti reports.
Kabardino-Balkarian Leader Arsen Kanokov and hundreds of other people attended the funeral. Zherukov was buried in his hometown Psygansu in the Urvansky District.
The university head was shot by two unidentified assailants in his office on Tuesday. He was an honorary scientist of Russia and Kabardino-Balkaria, a PhD in Agriculture and a professor.
