Militant leader of the north-eastern sector of Kabardino-Balkaria Alim Lempezhev (born in 1986) on the wanted list since 2010, militants Astemir Fakov (1989) and Arsen Karamurzov (1989) were killed in a special operation in the Baksansky District, RIA Novosti reports.
They were shot after opening fire at law-enforcers at 7.30 on December 26.
Lampezhev is suspected of killing administration head of the Baksansky District Khasan Sizhazhev, a healer in Baksan, six police officers and an FSB officer and racketeering. A year ago, he attacked a police officer who was driving with kids. The officer was killed and his two children gravely wounded.
