Constantine Meladze, a notable composer and producer, author of many famous songs and brother of Valery Meladze, founder of the VIA Gra Band, has been reported to be a witness to a road accident, not a suspect, as stated by Nikolai Zhukovich, head of the PR center of the Main Directorate of the Kiev Region.
Meladze admitted that he was behind the wheel. He called the police and an ambulance and was sober.
Meladze killed a woman on the Kiev-Obukhov Highway near the Pyatikhatka Stop on Thursday night. A criminal case was initiated.
